Check out what our students have to say about our Retouching classes:
“I wanted to send you an email to thank you for your time! I learned a lot at the session! It’s never my goal to take and 100% copy the way someone does something, but to take what works for ME out of it. I found a lot of your tips and tricks to really work for me. The thing I gathered from your session is to view editing with as critical an eye as I do shooting. I never really respected editing, it’s purpose was to merely finish the vision I had. I now view it as just an important part of the process as image capture!
Thanks again for that!”

” The class was really awesome and the sheet you gave me, I use all the time. I can only speak from a perspective of someone who has used Photoshop before. So anyone who is new to the program, I am not sure how their review might go.
I felt very relaxed and not talked down to during the session. I felt as I could speak my mind and not feel as I was uneducated.
After the class the tools really began to stick. I felt more comfortable choosing different tools I never used before and I felt very excited to get the chance to use them. The sheet you provided me with is very helpful. Every time I begin a retouching project I pull out that sheet. Even if I don’t use all the suggestions, I go over the sheet to see if there may be something I may have missed.
My one suggestion, and you may already have this in play, is to include a video. I feel if I had a video to see what tools you choose at what time or the opacity and flow utilized, then I would queue that up as well. (Note: the video tutorials will be available soon along with the “Digital Photo Retouching” book - Julia Kuzmenko McKim).
Besides that, I feel the class was everything I needed to make me feel more confident about retouching. And even though I do not have a strong ambition to become a professional photo-retoucher and would rather place my efforts more on my drawing. I love the fact that I now have the beginning skills to hone and if I choose to pursue that side of my art I know where to start and who to come to for more training.
Once again, thank you for the class. It was and continues to be very helpful. If I can help in any way, by donations or anything please let me know!”

“Thank you very much for the course! I believe the quality of my retouching is much higher now, but I still need to practice, practice, practice!”

“I had to share with you a comment I literally just received today. I sometimes post before and after images. I posted this one (attached) and here’s what one of my model friends said, and I quote: “Mark, you are such a master at retouching! Love the enhancements you made to an already gorgeous picture.” Comments like these amaze me, because I’m still not as far along with my skill as I’d like. But I can’t thank you enough for getting me to this point! Thank you again!”

“I have to say the stuff you taught me has really changed how I edit and really has helped take my images to another level, which is the whole reason I took the class. I’m a very visual person and it was a huge help to have you on the other end showing me how the techniques work in a real world application. The only thing I wish were different, I wish the lesson would have been able to be recorded for later playback… (Note: the video tutorials will be available soon along with the “Digital Photo Retouching” book - Julia Kuzmenko McKim). Other than that I really got quite a bit out of the lessons. I do love the actions, they are really really great, especially the sharpening and magic eyes!”
